Big T’s BBQ is a restaurant franchise that has been open since 2004. With five locations across Calgary, Big T’s BBQ continues to be home to the best BBQ in the city. 

The Problem:

When we began working with Big T’s BBQ two years ago, they were in the early stages of franchising and wanted help bringing awareness to their new locations. They were only ranking highly on a couple specific keywords, and had very little online presence.

Our Approach:

In order to drive traffic to both their online ordering system and their restaurants, our approach was fairly simple. Number 1, we wanted to get them ranking on the top spots on Google so that anyone looking for a restaurant in Calgary was seeing Big T’s BBQ at the top of the list. Number 2 was to run multiple campaigns targeting specific audiences to both increase foot traffic and put Big T’s BBQ in the back of the minds of everyone in Calgary. To do so, we worked with them to develop a series of focused campaigns. For example, we ran lead generation campaigns focused on wedding catering and stampede catering. We also ran awareness campaigns, displaying their amazing looking brisket and encouraging people to come and give it a try. All of which utilized our Beanstalk lead generation system which allowed for us to collect customers information and retargeted to them over time and let them know about the new exciting things Big T’s BBQ has to offer.

The Results:

Over the last two years, our results for Big T’s BBQ have been outstanding. When we started working with them, they were only on the first page of Google for two very specific keywords. Now, two years later, we have got 20+ keywords ranking on the first page of Google with over half of those keywords ranking in the #1 spot. To go along with their amazing SEO performance, we have also generated hundreds of catering leads and continue to keep their restaurants full with our awareness campaigns and retargeting emails.
